Upcoming In-Person Event 2026
Women in Law Forum
A Day Built for Women in the Legal Profession
- 10 June 2026
- Clayton Hotel, Cork City
About this Event
Whether you’re running your own practice, building your career in a firm, or navigating the everyday juggle of life and law – this day is for you.
SGN Women in Law brings together solicitors from across Ireland for a day of learning, connection, and honest conversation about what it really means to be a woman in the profession today.
This isn’t another sit-and-listen CPD day. Expect practical sessions you can actually use, speakers who get it, a facilitated networking lunch designed to make real connections (no awkward mingling!), and five full hours of in-person CPD to tick off your requirements.

On the Day
Full Programme schedule
Six sessions designed to help you grow - professionally and personally.
(Final details and speaker lineup to be announced in the coming days.)
Registration & Morning Refreshments
- 09:30 - 10:00 AM
- Arrive, grab a tea or coffee, and settle in. A chance to say hello before the day kicks off.
Welcome Address
- 10:00 - 10:15 AM
- Setting the tone for the day ahead - what to expect, how to make the most of it, and why this event matters.
Success on Your Own Terms - Reclaiming Your Career Without Losing Yourself
- 10:15 - 11:00 AM
- Women across the profession are quietly sidelining their own ambitions because the path to the top doesn't leave room for the rest of their lives. This talk challenges the thinking that's driving capable solicitors away from leadership - and asks what needs to change.
Closing the AI Gap: Understanding Why and Knowing Where to Start
- 11:00 - 11:45 AM
- Research shows women are less likely to adopt AI than men, but it has nothing to do with ability. This session explores why the gap exists and gives you practical tools to start bridging it today.
Nervous System, Stress & the High-Performing Solicitor
- 11:45 - 12:30 PM
- Overcoming the impact of stress on your body - especially when you're juggling practice, family, and everything in between. Walk away with practical, discreet tools you can use at your desk or on the go.
Facilitated Networking Lunch
- 12:30 - 13:30 PM
- Not your usual lunch break. Sit down to a proper meal with structured table conversation prompts designed to get you talking to the people around you - about the things that actually matter. Followed by a short reflection sheet. This counts towards your CPD as group learning.
Personal Brand & How You Show Up
- 13:30 - 14:15 PM
- This isn't just about colours and shapes. It's about dressing with intention, showing up with confidence, and understanding how your presence - online and off - shapes how people see you as a professional. Style, mindset, and personal leadership all wrapped into one.
Generational Fireside Panel
- 14:15 - 15:15 PM
- A panel of women at different stages of their careers sit down for an honest, unscripted conversation about what it's really like - the wins, the sacrifices, the things nobody tells you. Hosted as a warm fireside chat with audience Q&A.
Close & Key Takeaways
- 15:15 - 15:30 PM
- Wrapping up the day with final reflections, key takeaways, and a group photo moment. Stick around afterwards to keep the conversation going.

Giving Back
Our Charity Partner
We’re proud to partner with Women’s Aid for this event. As solicitors, many of us see the impact of domestic violence in our work every day. We will be raising funds on the day, which will go towards supporting their vital work in protecting women and families across Ireland.
